From hovels to hotspots! On this eating and walking tour you'll hear about the neighborhood's immigrant history and how it's evolved to a hipster haven today. Along the way, we'll taste some of that history as we start the tour with a mini-stuffed bagel with the works -- smoked salmon, capers, onions and cream cheese on a hand-rolled bagel. Then, it's on to Yonah Schimmel's for a knish, and Katz' for pastrami, followed by stops at the Essex Street Market and one of the oldest candy stores in NYC, Economy Candy.
